Is Hamann really a better option than Clayton?

When your fucking 2-0 down? And Vassell? Has Hughes learnt anything this season? Vassell cant change games, why the fuck was he on the bench?

Hughes takes the piss out of our academy. If 5 players, by is own admission arnt good enough for his team. Why the fuck doesn't he play the kids instead?

Have you ever seen Clayton play?

Yes 3 times this season, but i have mates who have seen him more who rave about him.

A better question would of been "have you seen Hamann play".

I'd rather see Clayton given a chance than Vassell say, even though I've never seen Clayton play neither have I ever see Vasell play

Vlad would of been perfect for the rold today IMO

cant remember the last time hamman played(well).if one thing good has come out of today its the end of his career.

We were losing, and he was never gonna change the game. Hughes also knows that there are twats in the stand who jeer younger players (you know who you are) if they don't get it right first time.

The lads confidence would have been shot in that atmosphere, he was better staying on the bench.

Hamann had a really good game against Schalke on the Thursday and played for the full 90 minutes.

Unfortunately it took its toll and after starting in the derby the following Sunday I think he just played the first half and he was shite.

At 36 you can't smoke 20 a day and still hack it in the Premiership - it's impossible.

That's fair point to be honest.

Although if Hughes started with the kids Clayton and Weiss, i think the atmosphere would of been a lot different and i think we may of got a better team performance. Unfortunately its all ifs and buts now.
