Yeah - I wondered that too. I am aware of similar things in France used to store/mature wine before they got their act together and started using copper vats etc. Communion wine by the gallon maybe?

This abortion is valuable, and yet when I grew up Stalybridge had a beautiful old Stone Town Hall architecturally superb and the council saw fit to knock it down.

Probably has a big enough footprint to stick a combined nursing home/medical centre/leisure facility for the elderly in there, they won't put housing somewhere that remote though.
