Is Kolo Toure

I've never rated him myself, same as Bridge. I'll give everyone a chance but he's very on and off. Quality some days but no way is he a captain. I think I've got more leadership in my little finger than he has in his whole body tbh.

I ask this question in all seriousness (being a long way away) ... why was keeping Dunne as squad player/backup never considered? I'm not a huge fan of either Toure or Dunne, but having them both now would be handy.

Because when Hughes did not like someone, he would not play them unless his hand was well and truly forced. Hence why Robinho, Petrov, Garrido, Benjeni, Elano etc. were left out even when at times they were playing well. Once Hughes decided he did not like Dunne (which was pretty much after he had enough money to replace him) he was not going to get a game, and as with many of the players he didn't like, he would try and force out.
