Dubai was the worst for that. I thought that Emirates was supposed to be their flagship carrier, yet our plane parked over a 30 minute bus ride from the terminal.

I haven’t been yet, but appreciate the tip.

Queen Alia (Jordan) is also bad for this — though, there it is due to keeping you on the taxi way for a long time as they often have no gates available. It can be more infuriating sitting there within walking distance of your escape, though.
