Is new shirt collar a rip off of Utd's Pre-Match Nike gear?

Was watching their Celtic game and noticed the Grey and Red Training Gear T Shirts on the bench were EXACTLY LIKE our new Home kit collar....except Nike, of course!

Did Umbro cop out and give us a "new" Home kit that is a rip off of Nike's Training Gear for the rags?! WTF?!

It turns out that there are only so many ways to cut fabric, and during the time that the people who decide what shape to cut it were deciding, nobody seemed to notice that it bore a slight, maybe if you squint a bit and do a handstand, resemblance to the kit that is 415th in line of priority for United last season.

Oh, and Nike and Umbro are actually the same company.

I know they are the same company! However, if we are going to sign a 10 year deal and in the 2nd year of it our HOME KIT has the EXACT SAME NEW FEATURE as the Rag's f@cking training gear, that's bullshit!

If the design team ran out of ideas on the collar, why did they not leave well alone and just add the white cuffs, pinstripe and new front panel material?

The "glaring" difference is the front on City's shirt goes across the outside and the Rag shirt is on hte inside of the main shawl collar. BFD!

The FACT that it LOOKS almost EXACTLY the same is pants!

this thread is just ridiculous. first off, it's not the same. look at that collar and look at the City one. 2nd, all or most of the new wave of Nike kits from clubs to national teams are sporting that collar from Nike so they are just continuing their OWN theme.

Perhaps he was watching Celtic and hoping for a hoops win!

Personally, I never watch or listen to the Rags - soon as I do, they score, invariably Giggs or Scholes.
