Is The Apprentice past its sell-by?

Dragon's Den is much better.

But yes, way past due. Others include strictly, ice dancing, xfactoring and sitting on an 'island' perving.

Most reality shows go downhill as soon as the producers realise what people like about them and then try to manufacture situations where it happens. It then comes across as fake.

Absolutely, TV programme producers have done this for some years haven't they... boil any fairly original, entertaining programme down to just certain bits that a focus study tells them that people react most to. Then they manufacture many more of those moments chasing ratings, and it without fail creates a false, staged feel.

Plus they're loathe to invent new programming. It's far easier to just recycle the same formula ad infinitum except with new dancers / celebrities / dickheads etc. See Strictly, Apprentice, Dragons, Get Me Out Of Here, The Voice... all originally entertaining, now all formulaic shit.

Not to mention the endless production line of 'celebrities' it creates. Someone appears on a reality TV show and the next week they're on a celebrity version of another one.

Every episode is the same. “This week your challenge is to make some flavoured sausages and then sell them at a market.” Yawn.

I used to like it but have turned it off this year and not watching anymore. It’s surely the last series. They have flogged it to death.

The first few seasons of this in America were brilliant and featured some genuinely smart young people. Now we have entire teams of thick knobheads who don't even know when the Second World War was. It's the kind of vacuous shit you'd expect to see on Sky One not the BBC.

Sad state of affairs the other night when none of the fuckers knew what a mortar board was.
