The Rag's did it didn't they. So did Chelsea to some extent. Both team's waiting in the tunnel for the Ref and the opposition we're looking around at the other team(Rag's/Chelsea) already looking beaten before they stepped on to the pitch.

Could this happen to us over the coming season's. Looking at our team/line up, I can imagine the likes of Wloves away to us first thinking, we're already beaten. Look at that line up.

Conversly it could mean the opposition raise their game

It worked for the rags, but guarantee it'll be this ^^ for us. Every fooker will treat a City visit like a cup final.

Its up to us to raise our game though, and start taking those tough away points. Starting with Blackburn.

I can see the first month or two being a bit of a up hill slog as the team beds down what I am looking forward to is the fact we don't have to play 4 3 2 1 all the time we have the players where 4 4 2 or 4 3 3 are an option so the tactics should be better. To be fair Mark Hughes did say that in his programme notes that he didn't really have the squad in place for much in the way of formation changes we now have

maybe its just me but hasnt that been the case for the last number of years?

look at the number of teams who were always able to come off a losing streak against us or the number of strikers who hadnt scored in such and such number of games

the difference this year is that the others will raise their game but we will have the quality and the grit to grind something out (hopefully)
