i know i know

money and skysports have turned the league around over the past 15 years
but the standard of play is very poor this season

more teams now play the 4.5.1 than the british 4.4.2
the top 4 is now a top 2 the the rest is made up of 6 teams fighting for the champions league spots

i hate the way its setup a 4th place of now bigger than both cups
what i would give to see man city win the league cup or fa cup

mancini only aim is 4th place what is that all about
and by saying that means we are going to play a sh*t team in the fa cup
and even could play a weak team in the next rounds of the europa league
all for a play off 2 leg champions league

now if mancini had any balls we would have been top of the league this season
why he sticks to the 3 holding midfield players and 1 striker when team are there for the beating
even chelsea utd arsenal dont look like they dont have much to hurt teams
and i bet all 3 of them clubs would take most of our players and put them in there starting line ups

this season the league is weak but manchester city should be in the top 2 easy but mancini only whats 4th place

imo the prem has never been better thats if you dont support the old top 4,its begining to open up soley because united and liverpool are not what they were

I think the league is good the referees make the premiership poor. Like today one rule for Villa and another for United same game same offense different outcomes.

personally i think la liga is a better division, maybe not competition wise and its effectively the same as scotland in that only 2 teams ever contest the league.

but in terms of the football being played i think la liga is easily better, teams from top to bottom all play football on the floor. just a personal opinion of course.

another thing that annoys me about watchin city and most other british clubs sometimes is that unless we get the ball forward as soon as we get it people start to get frustrated and annoyed, if we are keeping the ball and moving the opposition around personally i dont see a problem.

in other words i think the premier league is a lower standard of football but can be more exciting to watch, for the purists though la liga wins hands down

I think you could say the same about most European leagues at the minute in terms of outside the top clubs there is not a great standard.

We didn't have a Champions League finalist last season for the first time since 2004 I think and, much as it pains me to say it, players such as Ronaldo have left (by that I don't mean I am missing him!). Fabregas would be gone if he could as well. The best players in the world are currently in La Liga and that is technically the best league in the world in my opinion but even there you only have two clubs capable of winning it.

Serie A is definitely not what it used to be - Spurs have beaten Inter (albeit after the loss to them) and Liverpool have beaten Napoli and English clubs have generally had the measure on Italian sides in the last 10 years.

That said, the PL has the richest club in the world at present and it still has a lot going for it. I would imagine it is still by far the most popular league because of the styles clashing and some of the results that do turn up here.

i love the 100mph a hour stuff we played about 10years ago
and now with have to sit and watch the ball being pass around the back four
and the game its like a game of chess and you have to wait for a chance

also a hate the 1 striker setup in the game we have lost the main way to score it was a piece art that they work together and some times it was telepathetic they just knew when to run to the back post

look at the 23 players candidate for the balloon d'or , how many of them are playing in the EPL ?

3 out of 23

this says all.

as a neutral id rather watch say.. athletico madrid vs valencia than everton vs aston villa. la liga is far the more attractive league. if fabregas leaves for barca the gulf grows further

IMO the prem is poor. Many poor games, watching MoD invariably the first 1/2 games are ok then it sinks into dross especially whe the likes of brum, Blackburn, Wigan, Stoke are involved. One thing which perfectly illustrates the poor quality of the prem is the fact we are 4th and Bolton are 5th.
