Is there a better "strength in depth" squad in England?

I think United has as good squad as City, if not better.. their first team is still far away though.

They were well and truly found out during the last 6 games of last season and bacon face knew it.
They have only papered over the cracks this season and bacon face knows it.

In almost every area we have the best depth and in some places to an idiotic degree, specifically at RB/CDM/CM.

The only two areas we lack at our out wide and I'd say at CB. With wide players it makes sense as it's not out style and so we don't need to have players gathering dust for when we occasionally want width. At CB though I think we are quite light, hypothetically last season if Lescott and Kompany both suffered leg breaks we would of had months of Kolo and Savic and thats just not good enough. Kolo I do like and think he's good for the odd match/sub due to his vast experience but Savic was a real liability. Luckily/hopefully with Nasty we will have rectified this as he comes with a great review.

Still, so many of our squad could be starters for most the clubs in the league.

We have 4 CB's but we also have another world class CB in Yaya Toure if need be and Rodwell can play there too and also Richards so really we have 7 players who can cover them 2 postions

the scum DONT play in salford !

They play in Trafford which is not in Manchester :)

"Trafford is the home of Manchester United F.C. and Lancashire County Cricket Club and since 2002 the Imperial War Museum North."

No chance.
The reason they finished on 89 points last season is because of their strength in depth. If Kompany had been out for the same amount of time as Vidic we wouldn't have won the title because Savic and Kolo wouldn't have been good enough. Without being brilliant, Evans and Smalling (and to a lesser extent Jones) were better than our two back-ups.

Also in wide areas they are way ahead of us. They were last year and they are now. Last season we were crying out for width at times and we only had Johnson, now we only have Sinclair. United have Valencia Nani Young Giggs and had Park.

The reason they finished close to us was because they got a lot of dodgy penalty's and we was robbed of about 8pts, teams feared them when they really didnt need to give them that much repect, take the game to them and watch there defence crumble, rio, vidic, evra are all past there best and they have no midfield enforcer and a dodgy young keeper, teams should go at them all guns blazing

No he's right, teams go there and think. "shit were playing man united" and just crumble. If teams went to old Trafford and went for it I'm sure they would lose quite a few points.
IMO of course.

And teams don't do that when they go to the Etihad?
