Couldn't care less what you call it as long as not a pie. A pie has pastry top and bottom. A tart has pastry just on the bottom so God knows.

tata hash is diced onion, diced potato and beef (diced or minced your preference).

Corned beef hash is corned beef (tinned or home made shredded) and crushed potatos (boiled diced then mixed in rather than mashed).
