Loving that team I'd put kola in for clichy though as the full backs would have to be very good going forward as there's no width there!

Pretty much spot on, id have Kolarov in there instead of Clichy tho.

Clichy is the better defender but with Mangala's pace and the covering of Fernando I think they can cover Kolarov enough for us to play him purely for his crossing ability.

I know I've missed out Yaya, but I genuinely think this is a better, more consistent team. Runners for Silva to pass to, wingbacks to give us width, with the midfield steel to cover for them, with direct running and long shot potential from Jovetic. It covers all the bases, but with Dzeko to come off the bench if we need to get some height upfront.

If we are going to do well in the Champions League, we need to play as a team of 11, both with and without the ball, not a collection of individuals, which I think we have a habit of being when we play Yaya and even Nasri to a lesser extent.

Don't want to sound like a) a spoilt brat b) negative towards our current side

But going forward, in terms of the next couple of years, I think we need a top class LB who can defend and get up and down ie a left footed Zaba. We also need some real quality and pace in the wide positions

Don't point me towards Navas because although he is quick and can put a cross in, he has been at City for just over a year and im still waiting for him to pick the ball up and commit two or three defenders with his pace and trickery

he's been outstanding in the last 3 games arsenal bayern chelsea so he deserves to be in the first 11.

Agree apart from Clichy. Kolorov gives that added option in attack and we need someone to take corners.
