No comparison for me.

How many players in those previous squads were involved in a World Cup (Bell, Lee, Corrigan), let alone a World Cup Final compared to today's squad (Silva, De Jong, Hart, Tevez, Barry, Milner, Kolo, Yaya). I bet that list grows in 2014 too.

Even discounting higher fitness levels, today's team would destroy any of the previous ones.

we were talking about this at work and having seen the great team of the 60's and now enjoy this lot i still can't call it.
the team we had then was basicly the same 11 every week, no rotation or anything they just got on with it. another thing is they were all english lads with no "hang up" or in fact hangers on.in other words they were comfy, they were happy with playing for city and happy with life and added to their undoubted ability it was a recipe was the success they achieved.

the present squad are just awesome, a machine that will deliver success but in a different era, a different manner but success all the same.

players from both teams could switch and mingle in the others era's 11 with no messing, thats how lucky we older blues are to have the chance to experiance both.
when city ran out in that period of say 5 years you knew or had a bloody good idea they were going to win, its like that now and its great.

all the shit in between becomes irrelevent as we again dominate football for the next generations to enjoy.
