Is this the strongest Premier League of all time?

That might be true about the top 3, and it might make it hard to win, but the current norwich would struggle in every top league, and probably the next one down. Brighton were top 4 before Saturday, and we absolutely battered them for 45 minutes, to the point they looked utterly clueless, until we slacked off into "game management" after a CL away trip midweek, while they rested, it was 3-0 at half time, but should really have been 6 or 7.

Go down the rest of the league, this is the worst united team in the PL, and probably one of the worst spurs sides ever in the PL, arsenal are much improved after a shit start, but hardly pulling up trees given who they have "improved" against, and everton's capitulation against watford was pathetic, given the investments they have made.

I'm close to thinking that apart from 3 teams its bordering on one of the worst PL's ever, half (or more) of the teams won't even try against the top 3, and would rather stick 10 men behind the ball and hope they get lucky (see southampton).

Each to their own mate.

Last season pundits were saying that it was the strongest prem as we were miles off the pace. When we kicked on and put our run together they all blamed covid.

There are some terrible teams in the league, Norwich, Newcastle, Leeds, Palace, Watford etc.

The positions of Everton, Brighton, Wolves, Arsenal say everthing.

The top 3 are quality, the rest mehh
Leeds and Palace are not terrible

English football is much stronger now at every level than it has ever been. The international team has reached a World Cup semi and a Euros final and is packed with brilliant young stars. English teams are dominant in Europe, reaching semis and finals (we are still underachievers sadly). This is as direct result of the PL which is the strongest league in the world.
You can't compare teams now with those in the past because the game has changed so much with fitter, faster, more skilful players. In the 70s and 80s it was like watching cloggers playing walking football (just look at some of the games on Youtube). The great brilliant Liverpool side of the 70s and 80s would be hammered by their current team. People like Tommy Smith and Emlyn Hughes would not even be playing at the top level in the modern game. Our current side would put 10 past our great side of 1968. There are lots of things I hate about modern football but not the quality on the pitch.
Of course they would.
Half of them are dead (RIP) and the rest are well over 70!
