1) It cost a LOT MORE THAN 20K
2) I didn't pay a penny
3) Sven was there whilst he was City manager
4) I married the woman I loved for 7 years
5) I got the best presents EVER
now that sounds like one hell of a wedding.

can i be cheeky and ask what the present was, or is it private??

Sven didn't bang his missus.....

got married 13/05/2000 the week before was stag do but had to come back early for city v balckburn game what a day then had the honeymoon week after the wedding she wanted 2 week in cancun but she could only have a week in case city lost against blackburn and ended up in the play offs,so the answer to your question is not a fuckin chance football any day of the week but i dont tell her that

Fantastic day and night. Cost a whole lot more than 20k.

Daughters being born beats it by a mile tho.

I also enjoyed the honeymoon more than the wedding. Driving around Europe for 3 weeks in a Sports convertible in glorious weather and staying in 10 different Cities. I remember watching McManamans debut in a bar in Prague.............I know it was all downhill after that but at the time it was awesome.(McManaman I mean)

We got wed in July 1999.

Cost us about 4k.

But it was perfect for our needs. Hottest day of the year, small country chapel and the pleasure of having both sides of my family together after 30 years estrangement was the best bit.

And they all got on!! The Hughes' and the Graces' actually got on! LOL!!!!

Ours was 31st July 1999.

Weather was great for us too, glorious, just well as our ceremony was outside!!!!!

I wanted an outside wedding too, but was mindful of Mum In Laws strong religious conformist tastes. It was worth it though, because she is a lovely woman.

Where did you get married (if you don't mind me asking)?

You can see why we needed a good day...................no damn roof.

even better was the cost, cos it was owned by Historic Scotland it was only £150+VAT to get it for the whole afternoon, bargain.
