Isco

It looks like Isco is happy to stay at Malaga with a new contract imminent that will raise his buy-out clause to £32million. A shame really but have to admire his loyalty if he stays.

I read that too but hopefully the contract talks stall. He is too good to miss out on. If he does stay, good luck to him.

Crap newspaper but we can hope...

Malaga try to stop Isco fever
Exclusive
By PHIL THOMAS

MALAGA are making a last-ditch bid to try and stop Isco fever hitting the Etihad.

Manchester City’s newly appointed director of football Txiki Begiristain has wasted no time in recommending £30million-rated Isco.

City boss Roberto Mancini was already a fan of the man dubbed the new Cesc Fabregas in Spain.

And he watched Malaga’s midfield star, 20, in action against Atletico Madrid this month.

Isco made such progress last season that he won a Spanish call-up in May and had a £17m buy-out clause put in his contract.

But now Malaga are trying to agree a new deal and increase that trigger to £30m, which they hope will be enough to deter City and Real Madrid, who are also interested.

If he joined City it would be for the £17million buy-out which would be good value. If he signs a new deal with the increased buy-out it'd mean he isn't leaving, at least not yet.

Would be great if we signed him for 17 million, hopefully in January

Him and Silva could potentially be an unreal creative partnership.

His buyout clause is about right, but I heard he gets homesick?? Is there any truth in that?

Plus, Malaga to Manchester??

Malaga look like they are progressing to the next round of the CL as well, will be a Summer signing if anything.

Not true. He is from Malaga but he went to Valencia when he was 14 years old.

Reports out today that Malaga's owners haven't followed through on their promise to pay €9m in unpaid wages. Could be good news for us if we're in for Isco.

What we've been missing

@WhoScored
Isco: Malaga's 20 year-old midfielder has successfully dribbled past an opponent more times (14) in the CL this season than any other player
