nasri had a 3 month spell at le arse and looked like world beater - he was playing through the middle though. otherwise he was stuck out wide and was doing exactly the same shit he's doing here.
the bloke is a charlatan.

don't know about being a charlatan. But you are correct, he is 200% the player if he plays centrally... even as a deeper laying playmaker, á la Xavi (but not at the same level though).
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Guardiola, hypothetically as a manager of our current squad, would play him in exactly that position.

Nasri and Isco could be our Xavi and Iniesta. :)

+1

The only reseaon he plays there is coz we dont have wingers in our system and it's better to have either him or silva centrally like in the 3 5 2 formation verses Chelsea in the community shield he shined because of playing in the middle.

The only thing I worry about is that Mancini will sign Isco and turn him into Nasri.
Unless it is Nasri who is limiting himself to the runs, goals and assists he used to get.

Isco looks very talented and of course we should be signing the best of the best around Europe but until there is a slot for him to play week in week out there is no point buying him.

This is my fear also. There's something about Mancini's training tactics that just doesn't work for attack minded players . He brings out the best in defenders but that's about it. Aguero has clearly lost some of his scoring instincts this season , Dzeko was scoring tons of goals in Germany but has clearly lost some of his scoring instincts , same with Balo , same with Nasri. Its a well known fact that Italian coaches (except prandelli) don't do to well with bringing out the best in attackers.

Chelsea rival Manchester City for Isco

The Premier League champions have continued to scout the Malaga star, but Roman Abramovich may be willing to match the player's release clause.

OMG..

Highly unlikely, They have more than enough attacking midfielders stockpiled, the one position they do not need to buy anyone in

Fair play to Chelsea if they do sign him, it'd serve us right for not hurrying and getting the deal done.

I can't see it though, they have Hazard and Mata in the centre with Oscar deeper with also Ramires who can paly CM or wing. Lets not forget they have Marin and De Bruyne too. Isco would be mad to go there.

United wont be going in for him either imo, they'll go for Rodriguez when they can get Nani moved on.

Us or Le Arse imho. He's ours if we hurry up.

As i said earlier in the thread this deal is far from done and to say it's done is very naive.

A lot of mind games going on which is par for the course when agents are involved with their clients, favourites yes......done no.

OMG..

attacking midfielder is the only place when they have more than enough players..will be criminal for him to go there...i really think he will be ours..

MANCHESTER CITY LEAD THE CHASE FOR ISCO

Manchester City are scrambling for Isco

Thursday December 13,2012
By Charles Perrin

MANCHESTER CITY appear to be the frontrunners in the scramble for Isco’s signature.
The midfielder is highly coveted and has been tracked by rival Premier League outfits Manchester United and Chelsea.

City want to beef up in the midfield department, as they will lose Yaya Toure to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

A fee of £17m it is understood will be enough to take Isco away from the nouveaux-riche Spanish outfit Malaga.

But AS claims Malaga may raise the price tag to £32m in an attempt to deter potential suitors.

City owner Sheikh Mansour is keen on the player, and with money not really being an object, the ball appears to be in their court.

Isco has made 51 appearances for Malaga since joining the club in 2011.

He has netted five times in all competitions so far this campaign.

I'm very confindent he will be ours
