Islands just off Athens

Done Poros, Agistri & Hydra but all many years ago.

The latter was my favourite out of them all but it was maybe 25 years ago.

The Western side of Crete is more chilled out if you end up there. Would recommend Palaiochora for a very relaxed atmosphere.

Been to quite a few islands ,best bet is to get a ferry from piraeus ,and spend a couple of days on different islands .

Went to spetses 25 years ago hydrofoil from athens. I loved it.
Only taxis allowed but small enough to walk every where. Busy little town

I’ve been to Aegina which is about 10 miles off Athens. Can’t remember which resort but it was nice

Agree, I've been there too, but It was about 45 years ago that I went, so no idea what it's like now.

Ditto, went about 29 years ago. Not as nice as Spetses.

Went to Spetses 20 years ago and went again this summer. Lovely place and very stylish. Gone up market. Stayed in a lovely hotel run by a local family. Also had 3 days in Hydra afterwards. Also a lovely place. Only one bar with football on though! Was fairly busy but not too much outside the town.
