Terrible.

However, I have to wonder why there isn't the same outrage from some when Hamas fires rockets in to Israel (this strike was in response to just such an action).
 
Now before I go down in BM history as being flamed out of existence can I just say that I know very little about the Israel/Palestine conflict. I am aware that it has gone on for a few thousand years, and because of this can't be arsed to read up on such a vast can of worms. I do not pretend to put forward a valid comment, just a simple question: In that news article, the first paragraph states that the attack was because rockets were fired at them, and the air-strikes were in response. Who stops first, and why?

I say again, Just a reasonable ignorant question, please reasonable enlightening responses only.

The only way for this to be resolved would be for the state of Israel to live alongside Palestine. Unfortunately, the truth is that there are too many people on both sides of the conflict who will not accept this.

Also unfortunately, there are too many people with agendas who will not admit that there needs to be a willingness for peace from both sides.
 
its not helped by the israelis constant breaking of UN resolutions by grabbing the land and building settlements on them

at the same time they are displacing the local indigenous population who then fall into militancy by way of oppression

Not now, or ever can the passing of time make this right, so I would do what the palistinians do, fight back any way they can.

Unfortunately a question which has nothing to do with the conflict.
 
We have tried all sorts to get this situation changed, and I think the time has come for the UN to arm palestine with nukes so they can slug it out once and for all with Isreal. Both sides would learn a lesson in futility. I am fucking sick of the palestinians playing the "poor arab" card, and Isreal giving it the "persecuted (again) Jew" bollocks. Regardless of religion or ethnic origin Palestine and Isreal are full of fucking idiots, and the sooner they all fuck off and die, the sooner the fighting stops. The fact that they now have Blair as a peace envoy sums up perfectly what a set of clowns they all are.

They are clowns because they are too stupid to make any progress on peace, and are hell bent on each others destruction. The international community has recognised what a waste of time both parties are by sending Blair, which is about as useful as making Nick Griffen a community liason officer in Burnley.

What a complete load of fuckwittery. Do you even understand the history?

In 1948, the UN voted to partition the former British mandate. The Jews accepted and formed Israel whereas the Arabs didn't and attacked it. If they'd won, there's little doubt the Arabs would have massacred virtually every Jew they found. In that sort of environment it is quite understandable (although maybe not right) that there was a reaction. However, today there are many Israeli Arabs (Muslim & Christian) living quite happily in the borders of Israel.

Do you know that in 1948 and afterwards, over 750,000 Jews in Arab countries were forcibly kicked out of places like Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Iraq & Iran where they had lived for hundreds or even thousands off years? Are they in refugee camps 60 years on?

There's a lot wrong with the situation in the Middle East on both sides. The settlements are illegal but so is firing rockets at civilians.
 
OP i find it completely unfair that you fail to mention the reason behind the air strikes.

they were the ones who fired on civilian targets first, then israel responded, what did you/anyone else espect?!
