This video link reports from the ground at the Golan Heights and it's borders as well as the hospitals in Israel that are treating the Syrian rebels plus civilians and shows an interview from one of the fighters in his hospital bed who reveals information about Al-Nusra.

The vid shows what happens at the borders including interviews with Israeli soldiers and the UN peacekeeping force, and what you see in the video about the UN is a shocking indictment of there role there.

The video is just over half an hour long but it's very insightful and whatever your stance is on the middle east it's a must see.

For me it shows how complex and nuanced the situation really is, rather than being the simple black and white some people seem to think it is. I've said before and the officer at the end of the film confirmed it) that Israel would rather have a belligerent but stable Syrian regime than an unstable and uncertain picture to deal with on its border. The UN is generally pretty useless as they tend to freeze or run at the first sign of trouble. They stood by and watched massacres in Bosnia and Rwanda happen under their noses. The withdrawal of the UN force, under Egyptian pressure, from Sharm El Sheikh overlooking the Straits of Tiran was the prime cause of the Six Day War in 1967. As soon as that waterway, which gave access to the Suez Canal, was closed to Israeli shipping, that was the signal to start hostilities. And from that, all the rest of the shit of the last nearly fifty years has followed.
