Cant leave windows open at night in a bungalow unless you own an attack dog to guard you so been kicking merlin out at six in the mornings so i can open all the doors and windows , 24 in my bedroom every night is annoying , today there is a great breeze going through , close them when merlin comes in to stay in

In the 70's we had proper summers, with heat and droughts, we got on with it, we also had proper winters, with cold, deep, snow and we got on with it. Now, suddenly, we're all doomed.

I’m sure a lot of vulnerable people will have died in the heat of 76.

2,000 are said to have died from heat in 2003.

Whilst it all seems OTT, there will be a significantly higher risk to life for the elderly and infirm.

I wonder what would happen these days if a hosepipe ban was introduced. No fucker would give a shit and carry on as normal in all probability.
