I don’t think Douglas Luiz would be any kind of long term fixture in the team, but bearing in mind we need two midfielders, if we can’t sign the big-hitter (like Bruno G) this window, then bringing him in as a short term fix and then having him around to be a rotation player next season would not be a bad move to make. Basically a big hitter 6/8 hybrid to replace Gundo and then Douglas Luiz kind of becomes the new Kovacic whenever Kovacic leaves, which won’t be too far into the future you’d imagine.
