But we bossed the game for 30 mins last night, and if the ref had done his job properly we should have been given deffo one pen and could have been given two which would have made it a very different game.
Ffs we have been beaten by one of the best teams in Europe in their own back yard,a place which is notoriously difficult to get a result and
people are over reacting left right and centre.
There is I agree no way back for tevez and his actions were quite frankly sickening ,but other players have been hung drawn and quartered by the media and certain sections of our support.
We need to back the manager and the lads fully beginning at blackburn as the press at this moment in time are having a field day.

Re: It seems to have been forgotten

Think it's been mentioned by a number of folk to be honest...as much as we did play well for maybe 35 mins it was alarming how quickly the game was lost and how very poor our efforts to get back in the game second half were.
Did we throw in the towel or was there something going on at half time that preceeded the Tevez debacle and had an impact on the squad??...we did look devoid of ideas second half.

You should try reading a few threads about the game, plenty of people mentioned this already.

I appreciate there are a lot of Tevez threads to wade through first.

Spot on. That second half performance was our worst (by some distance) since the no-show at Anfield last spring. Disturbing to see just how far behind Bayern we were last night.

Obviously I agree but I do wonder why so poor??...the first half was competitive...maybe the two late goals just knocked the stuffing out of em all. Maybe they had an almighty bollocking at half time who knows.

I don't think we are that far behind Bayern and they would have been worried for 30 mins but they worked us out and we could not respond to that change. That's worrying.

You mean the 2nd half where we drew 0-0 with the powerhouse of German football ?

I dont think Bayern are as good as we made them look last night. First half we were doing great maybe should of had a penalty or 2 and we looked good. A few bad mistakes lead to 2 goals. Then it went tits up. I would hope come the return game we will show them just how good this City team can be. That will be the worst game we have played in a long time and I would expect Mancini and his backroom team will have everything sorted out by the time we play them again.

I think he means the second half where from 2-0 down we failed to put any pressure on the home teams goal...a 0-0 half when you are 2-0 down is a bit f@cking pointless really.

Re: It seems to have been forgotten

The thing that needs to be asked is, why do we shit ourselves when a goal is scored against us? Happened already at Fulham. Now it happened in Munich. Community Shield. And last year at Everton.

Why do we have a mental breakdown once the opposition score?

Re: It seems to have been forgotten

I don't think we are far behind at all. we gave as good as we got then the goals and we still regained our composure, albeit we were under the kosh a bit more.

I will say i don't think the team selection was right. If you have Clichy in, then why not start with Milner, who is more than capable of playing where barry does if needed.
Kolo also, a little wtf from me regarding that tbh, Lescott should have started imo.

Either way we did alright lads, bit more composure and we are sorted. We played well against BM who are in the best form they have had for 10 years.
