Over the years they have been amazing..... The reason why Italy have so many world cups.
Its weird seeing Seria A not so strong after 90s+ dominance. Great league with alot of amazing clubs.
For me it started with Baresi.

You can close the thread with the image of Maldini. The only time I have ever watched a team just to see a defender play.

Franco Baresi was a stand out Italian defender, different to Maldini he had more aggression to him.

Baresi too, yes. But I never watched a game just to see him play. Milan was some team in those days.

I had the pleasure of seeing him in Foxboro, when Italy beat Ireland 2-0.
He was a masterclass and a fore runner in those great Italian defensive generations.
I loved other defenders games more as the years went on but Franco was a beast.
