ITALY
The best team in the tournament so far I think most would agree, only downside is they’ve been handed quite a tough run to get to the Final. Mancini’s men have been solid at the back and lethal up front, they haven’t conceded and they’ve score 7 goals. It’ll be interesting to see how they handle their first game away from the Stadio OIimpico. They’ll have to get used to winning at Wembley if they want to win this competition.
Form at Euro 2020:
Turkey 0-3 Italy
Italy 3-0 Switzerland
Italy 1-0 Wales
Euro 2020 goal scorers:
Ciro Immobile – 2
Manuel Locatelli – 2
Lorenzo Insigne – 1
Matteo Pessina – 1
Own Goal – 1
AUSTRIA
I seem to recall Austria’s first 2 games being entertaining, so far in this tournament they’ve scored 4 goals and conceded 3. They’re decent on the attack but not great at the back, probably not a great recipe coming into this one. I think they’ll change tactics in this one though. I expect them to sit back, defend and then try and use Arnautovic and Sabitzer on the break. If they pull this off it will be a major shock.
Form at Euro 2020:
Austria 3-1 North Macedonia
Netherlands 2-0 Austria
Ukraine 0-1 Austria
Euro 2020 goal scorers:
Stefan Lainer – 1
Michael Gregoritsch – 1
Marko Arnautovic – 1
Christoph Baumgartner – 1
