They were saying something like 11 unbeaten including beating the Netherlands, however they failed to beat Latvia and Guinea in the more recent games so I suppose that wasn't on the piece of paper they gave him.

Wales were already through 99%. No team have ever has a win and a draw (3 or 4 points) and gone out of the 24 team to 16 group stages as 3rd place - but they have coming 4th in a group with 4 points.

The Swiss have 7 results that can go against them to mess things up, 4 have to happen to knock them out, but in a lot of cases a draw only is needed.

Could be Belgium also still who could even finish 3rd on 6 points like they did in 1994 after winning their first 2 games, although third unlikely this time as after the 3 way tie GD would come in.

Poogach arguing if the Ampadu challenge was shin high then it deserved a sending off, not even mentioning the Dan James shin challenge in the first half that escaped any cards.

Pougatch is an appalling host, always trying to create an argument rather than discuss things.

You're right though, the James one was a bad challenge - how that didn't even get a booking is baffling.

It was a tough match to watch - a 90 minute siege - but excellent result. Quite pleased it wasn't Italy's first team!
