Because getting past the receptionist dragons on the phone first worst is even worse than being ill. Twats.
Last time I had to go turned into a right row on the phone. In the end I said something like 'look love, apart from being ill now Im an otherwise fit and healthy mid 40s male in full time employment with a career and a full, busy life. I would rather be anywhere else in the world than in the doctors. Please be assured Im not wasting your time, you are wasting mine'.
