I say play Sergio and Mario. Mario imo will be our best striker soon.

Stats show that this was by far our least potent pairing last season. For whatever reason they do not play well together.

People keep saying that Tevez and Aguero are a perfect partnership and that they compliment each other so well but I haven't really seen anything to make me believe that.

Yes they linked up relatively well against an incredibly poor Norwich defense but that's about it. In our pre-season games they've actually looked pretty pissed off with each other at times because neither is seeing the runs the other is making and they're both taking too long on the ball.

It is widely known in Argentina that they don't play well together for the national team so why would it work so well for us?

How many top striker partnerships are there in the world where both players are small and can't win the ball from goal kicks?

In a 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 we're going to be getting a lot of crosses in, are they both gonna out-jump 6ft+ centre-backs to head the ball into the back of the net?

I think people need to think for themselves and not just say "They play very well together" just because some commentator says it.
theres so many holes in you arguement its laughable but what makes you think we arnt making our own judgement on players with our own knowledge of football after years of watching the game ? you imply that city fans are docile & just listen to what the commentators say. Who the fucking hell do you think you are .

-- Mon Aug 06, 2012 10:21 pm --

But mario is like a toddler. You see changes in him every week. Hoping that next season his game will have taken a big step forward after the Euros

thank god for you sniff, sense at last. never heard such utter garbage about the Tevez/Aguero partnership not being our best in my life, utter idiots on here sometimes. I think we need the football to start, people`s brains are turning to mush, Tell you what lets get santa cruz to partner Aguero , then we`ve got the Big man Small man formation, always ideal .....ffs
Ffs, how can you have a partner that fucks off for six months. Rely on Tevez, never.
you saying we shouldn`t play Tevez ?
I'm saying, going into a season and relying on him is naive. If your going on a trip and your sat navs playing up, I'd take a map.

Indeed. Five or six matches where he hasn't shit the bed and demanded a transfer and people act like he's had a religious conversion.

I'm still waiting for the maltesers update. I've been waiting all day. Come on man, the suspense is killing me.

Relying on Balotelli is naive i`d say. A fit & focused Tevez is one of the best players in the world. i dont want to go for a pint with him. Him & aguero will work it out together , they are world class strikers & will succeed together. People solving problems that hav`nt even happened yet. The arguement that they wont win headers from goalkicks is just plain stupid, cant see Mancini losing sleep over that one.

This is a bif season for Mario - for him to be a first choice striker at any top club his on field antics have to change - if he can behave himself on the pitch and avoid antics like at Le Arse then i think he could lead the line - too risky at the mo

Agree, now or never for him now.
