In that case, don't read my posts (don't know where that came from, to be honest..... Think I heard someone say it recently)......

....(by the way, as you're clearly looking to apportion blame, I was neither logged in on the evening that he chose to flounce, nor have I cut off his electricity).

It's a shame that the transfer window coincides with school holidays...

It is (thanks for your kind words of support).

Don't mention it - It was directed at you....

Can someone please show me the "Let's all hail Marwood for signing Aguero" thread?

I'm not a Marwood fan myself but i think he's coming under a lot of unfair criticism of late where his hands are tied on a lot of issues.

If he's getting the blame for not getting players in then where's the praise when he captures the likes of Aguero, can't have it both ways?

Probably not the best example. Khaldoon "the Closer" had to go to Madrid to get the deal done. Or not?

As previously stated, we've done well on one transfer deal (Clichy) - in or out - in 3 years (hell, even Liverpool could have forced AM to sell Kun for 35m)....... that is the long and short of it

That thought had crossed my mind. I would love it if this is an elaborate strategy to make it appear there’s friction between marwood and mancini. Marwood on the phone to DDR agent right now “listen, my balls are in a vice – Roberto wants deals done and the owners won’t budge on price. You either take the offer we have made or i’m going to have to move on to other targets. Time has run out.”

Sometimes things can just be straigforward and not an elaborate smokescreen or whatever other theory people on bluemoon come up with.

Maybe he actually is pissed off with Marwood.

Maybe he is. Shame on me for talking with Danamy about the possible reasons for mancini's comments.

No prob, apology excepted. :)

I do think City need a strong CEO on the ground: KAM mostly operates from a distance as Chairman and has far more than just City to think about.

From the outside, this window has gone badly so far and time is running down.

Some people are drama queens on this thread.

We have just won the league for the first time in 44 years, our manager and club captain have just signed 5 and 6 year deals respectively, we've announced plans to build the biggest and best academy in the country and probably Europe and people are still stressing over transfers.

Yes we would benefit from a new centre half and a new winger but not if it means getting ripped off. We've made a massive short term investment in the club in the last 3 years and the long term plans are already in place with the academy, so now we're in a position where we hold all the aces. It might not be beneficial to keep Adebayor now because of his wages but when other players want a transfer in the future, they're going to know the club won't back down and can't be held to ransom. Likewise, if Liverpool want money to re-invest and develop there squad, they will know in future we aren't a club who will just hand over whatever sums of money they ask for. It might take a couple of transfer windows for other clubs to realise we are no longer mugs and a club to be taken advantage of and bum fucked with transfer and agents fees, but it'll be worth it in the long run. Our owners know what they're doing.

We did excellent in getting Aguero.

However this summer we've clearly messed up.

It's also clear that FFP has completely screwed us in transfers for foreseeable future.

-- Fri Aug 10, 2012 11:32 am --

You should go tell Mancini this.

Spot on it seems from the outside this summer that without Cook things aren't getting done with the same efficiency, we need to get an experienced CEO in ASAP, what exactly is the job of that bloke we've got coming in from Derby County?.

Sorry but Marwood doesn't cut it for me, he is in over his depth !! No wonder the italian club owners try to flea fuck us when they are dealing with litte men like Marwood. We need someone who is renowned in football and has a great football and business brain, is it any wonder Kaldoon jumps in when Marwood is floundering to get the deals closed. In my opinion I would love to see Patric Vieira doing Marwoods job as he is well known and very well respected throughout world football.
Can you imagine being one of our transfer targets and having to deal with Marwood ??? the players agents must think fook me we can have some fun and games with this fukker and hopefully get stupid money !! Run that alongside having PV representing our club and I bet their outlook would be a lot differant !!
