How do you know that TH didn't know about Rodwell before the masses on here? He stopped posting transfer stuff before the story broke.

I don't know where TH gets his info from but I do believe that he has some useful sources. What no one who gets some info that is not in the general domain cannot control is the fact that a deal is not a done deal until it is done.

I also wish people would get it into their thick skulls that pretty anyone who has good, regular sources of info regarding what goes on at a football club is not going to reveal their sources.

To play devils advocate, Rodwell himself said that negotiations had been going on for weeks.

Two weeks and kept under wraps, supposedly. Doesn't prove TH didn't know; just as him not knowing wouldn't prove that he has not had other info before the rest of us.

I was once in the possession of info that City were going to sign Djibril Cisse in the January transfer window back when Pearce was manager. I was told this many weeks before January but, for various reasons, I wouldn't give his name out, despite alluding to the signing of a new striker, until someone else posted that we were going to sign him (this was on the MEN). Obviously we didn't sign him in the end; although had Wardle and Pearce not both left the following summer, I believe that we would have signed him in the summer. The source of the info was a City player who had also been a team mate of Cisse.
