Anyone else actually been SUPER impressed at our youth signings? We grumble about the summer market, but we have signed some really top kids from 21 down to 10. I've been very surprised at how many we picked up. I assume bobby promised Lombardo as much if he coached up the youth. Our future could be bright for decades.

Our youth recruitment has been spot on, the club has missed out on a couple of targets but have mostly gotten their man (boy) and have brought in a really talented group now to add what we've already got. We're now competing with the big boys for youth targets and hopefully some of them can break through, but if not they should be sellable at good prices (or sell-on %s).

I just hope there is a good plan for how to handle all these talented youngsters. They all need to play competitive games in order to develop, and one can't really claim our academy and EDS environment really offered them much game time last season.
I hope the new youth league solves this problem.

I wonder if tomorrow won't be as quiet as it has been today. International fixtures over, usually players have a day off before rejoining clubs, for Prem Clubs deadline for registering players enabling participation in weekends games looming. (coughs, Spuds and Ade, playing Newcastle with only Defoe up front, lost Modric) could it just be Ade out RVP in day tomorrow?

Just seen a city fan post on twitter that Javi Martinez is off to Bayern Munich, would be gutted if true.

Bild says so. Seems that Martinez goes with 2 million Euro less each year in a five-year-contract - so Bayern pays the 40 but actually it means 30.

The clubs didn't confirm by now.
