I really rate Joao Felix, but my only concern is how much his success would end up being down to suiting a Pep setup so much. After he leaves i'd have my doubts about his continued success. Hope im wrong there! Still would much prefer Haaland too.

He didn’t have Pep when he was wowing everyone at Benfica.

Whoever replaces Pep is going to be as close a match as we can get, they’re going to be au fait with false 9s and the like.

For the price quoted I'd be very happy with Felix as a Torres replacement just as long as Bernie stayed with us longer. As others mentioned Bernie seems happier this season and you'd think bringing in another one of his mates from the Portuguese squad could only help him settle.

The biggest drawback I see is McAtee would be blocked even more from getting in the first team. There's very little chance he'd stay if this happened.

He's a pure 8/10 - The midfield 3 is gonna be the hardest to get into, even Foden doesnt get time there in Peps system. He's far better with players ahead of him rather than in the front 3 like Palmer/Fodens integration, dont think Felix is gonna change that much.

Well, Mendes still have client in our team especially portuguese player. So we still have a deal with him whether we want or not.

And i don't think what mendes pull last summer is detrimental for us at all.

Even then, he’s definitely not a man to spearhead the attack. Why sign a false 9 when we already have about 5 players here who can play that role. I’d literally take richarlison or DCL instead of him

I think us a City fans need to learn from the Lukaku situation at Chelsea. Why change what already works? Felix is suited to a false nine role moreso than anybody in our side. It's a gamble but not a Haaland level gamble where we need him to be that superstar.

Think I would prefer to riskk Haaland than Felix .

Despite playing at Altetico I think his ( Felix ) performances have been totally underwhelming .
