I know Atletico want Nunez, like really want him from Benfica. There was a report about Felix being available for 63 million to fund the Nunez deal but that was squashed by another Atletico journalist. Find it really weird that Mendes leaked to a portugal paper this week as well about him wanting Felix to go to City before he went Atletico. I think he’d be good under pep but he’s no Haaland.

I bet he does, I just think it’s an awful opportunity for us, especially for a probable post-Pep future. I just think we lost Torres, could maybe lose another player... if he came for that “spot”, I could accept it, but never instead of a true goalscorer striker

At this point Nunez offers more than Felix

Agreed. Clearly has a lot talent, but I watched him against Chelsea last year and the kid couldn't deal with the pace of the game they played at.

Grealish, McAtee, Palmer, Kev, Foden, already cover the false nine option.

Mendes is clearly planting the seed of a back up option if we don't sign Haaland.

I hope he realises it’s a post pandemic, poor performing £100m man he is smelling as he can’t be near that price now surely, I think he is being pushed towards us but not sure we will bite this time round - we would have jumped last time but I’m guessing we are looking at the higher profile option

Honestly, I would rather go back for Kane if that was the case, Felix has never even scored 10 goals in a season in Spain, and we want to bring him to a much more physical league.

I would've laughed and hung up the phone if I was Txiki.
