Pep will not be too happy about offering new deals Gundo, Walker and Bernardo and in the end none of them staying potentially.
will be honest expected the window quite differently after the treble win. to go out to make some signings that will scare the shit out of rivals rather than trying to replace important outgoing ones and keep the squad same strength at least rather than much stronger. obviously that was the plan imo with bringing both Bellingham and Kovacic to give the midfield a huge shake up, but without Bellingham thats not really the case. lets hope Kovacic does at least 70% what Gundo was able to.
even Gvardiol, I see him as a strong long term addition and making backline younger not someone who will do hell of a lot better early on than Ake did most part last season as Ake was fantastic probably his best ever individual season.
long term hopefully he is a fixed starter for years to come and have the look of a Pep defender but will take time imo to pick up the speed.
there are interestingly opposing rumours that we are pretty much done after Gvardiol unless Bernardo is sold too while others state there are 2-3 more incoming players after Gvardiol. could all be of course depending on outgoing ones.
I guess Pep wants to have a look for 2-3 weeks of pre season how the players come back, how hungry they are, treble win I guess can play with some players minds, not to be too satisfied is a big part of the mentality now. getting all the players be just as hungry as if we had not win the treble.
Pep wont be too nice on anyone where he sees hunger is a bit less than should be. they all better arrive back proper condition not with some extra weight lol.
cant underestimate the season ahead of us, additional super cup games, lots of extra travel, club world cup etc, more games, more injuries, more issues etc.
if you make great decisions in the transfer market, you get the rewards, look a Haaland.
