So is the news that TH is reporting that

1. Bellingham despite the Madrid reports we could still get?

2. Bernie and Gundo are both 50-50 about leaving?

Doesn't seem much for the videos and original comments today...especially the " you win again video" ......

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think it's always a good idea to renew the squad after an extremely successful season, especially with players of certain age/or players that will not renew. We should sell Mahrez if there is a good offer. He is important, but he is not a starter, and due to his age, it's unlikely he will be a starter again. 40m for him, we would be crazy not to take him.

And then, Gundogan or Bernado. Here age is irrelevant, because Bernardo WILL leave in 2 years for certain (he wants to play for Benfica while he is close to his prime). So right now, it's a choice of whether we want Gundogan for 2 years and get 60-70m for Bernardo, or we want Bernardo for 2 years and Gundogan leaves for free. The 3rd option is having both, but that would still mean to replace both in 2 years (and maybe even KDB), which I don't think is wise. For me, I have zero doubts is time to take money for Bernardo, and slowly rebuild our midfield.
This is a very reasonable assessment of the situation. It just gets hard when you have the history that these players have with the club. But you are correct- there is no room for sentimentality in this. The squad has to be renewed. Pep says it regularly.

Sadly not, starting a new job/career soon, as a children's mental health worker in schools.

True story!
Fair play mate. Challenging job especially with all the shit kids have to put up with now. On your first day, may I suggest you don’t play those cheesy obscure transfer videos -:)

The kids have suffered enough!

Bellingham is going to Madrid.
Gundo will probably stay. Bernardo will probably leave.

For me, we still need a midfielder even if Bernardo/Gundo stay and Kovacic goes. Preferably one who would offer an attacking threat and happy if that would be McAtee. Kovacic is good but doesn't exactly thrill as an 8. I'd definitely accept Mahrez going - he's excellent but aside from a spell of 3/4 weeks he's been non-existent.

Nothing against TH but I couldn't read anything positive into what he posted when followed by the other news.

Needs a proper 1 on 1 pace tricky winger it Mahrez goes to Saudi.. my suggestion is Nico Williams (right footed) or Chukuweze.

Gnonto makes sense and shifts Phil into central mid. I think this is his time. I would like to see Palmer and McAtee replacing Mahrez and another 2 in central mid - another Rodri would be nice, and a replacement for Bern, should he go.

With Bellingham off and Raphael news...I don't know what City is planning....maybe the Neymar news were true I don't know anymore

I think if we win UCL we are going to lose quite a few players. Bernardo , gundo, mahrez and laporte maybe :(

If we were to loan palmer, sell mahrez and move fodder central we may see a few wing signings. Gnoto may make sense but I would expect someone with more experience too.

I love Mahrez, he's been a great servant but it would be a great move for both parties.
