I'm not the one he needs to convince, Pep is. Pep has seen him in action for a year now. And if that report is true, Pep has seen enough to evaluate his capability.
If Pep doesn't want him then he will be gone. If Phillips wants to or not.
By all accounts the rumors are that he wants to fight for his place and we will be open to offers but if he is still here by the end of the window then Pep will proceed as we are.

That comp rings a bell, have we been linked before? Looks like a mini-Riyad. A left footed right winger, right as our one is rumoured to leave and we’re rumoured to want another…
yeh few times over the last few years, since he was 16

Joao Felix linked with… Wolves.

About his level from what I’ve seen of him.
Bit harsh I think and I actually think he would be class in this City side. Remember his first few games for Chelsea and he was absolutely cut above everyone, however that faded fast with Chelsea’s form and fat frank. Pep would work
Wonders with him.

I reckon big clubs won't be as stupid with this Turkish kid as they were with Julian. This is chump change for any half decent club

McAtee and Foden replaces Bernardo and Kovacic fills out. Ideal! Exciting!

Think this is very important, KDB injury is a tough one for him at his age and could miss the first two months of the season and might not be fit till November December. So to have so young energy players who can play the games with experience with foden and gundo potentially and Rodri will be great. Reckon Perrone will be sent on loan though which I’m fine with.

Indeed! Gundo-Kdb(injured)-Foden-Kovacic-McAtee. Which makes City chase for a winger much easier… it’s only necessary IF Mahrez goes
Reckon the main thing for him was the body strength he had as I was hearing he struggled at the start of last season and he seems to have bulked up a bit whilst have more knowledge of the men’s game rather than youth teams.

He’ll get the Rico treatment… nonetheless it’s ideal for City depth next season

That article also says Palmer will be loaned out. So I would be amazed if we didn't sign a winger regardless of Mahrez's future.

The ideal scenario would be to keep Mahrez for one more year, and hopefully bring back Palmer as his replacement when he's got a season of regular football under his belt. Sign a winger this summer who can play left and right.
