He was poor at Newcastle last week - very poorVan de Van is super rapid and **** good!
I rate him so highly, I am in awe of Spurs for signing him. His a proper no-nonsense CB!

I would be over the MOON. With 3 at the back, he will play that right side like a maestro. Young and fast and very good. Barring the Newcastle game, which he slipped a couple of times.
His pace and awarness is remarkable:
He would fit our systems perfectly. He would be an ideal fit. High line, keeping possession in opponents half, having him with that quick recovery and covering the back would be such a beauty. We become counter attack resistant!so apart from when his pace and awareness were shit , his pace and awareness is remarkable :)
watched him a couple of time this season and thought he would do a great job in our system
Think his best role is in one similar to Ake/Gvardiol as the outside CB/LB hybrid. Not so sure we need him. No chance this happens anyway. Unless he forces a move away, which I can't see.He would fit our systems perfectly. He would be an ideal fit. We’ve seen first hand how pointless dealing with spurs is!He would fit our systems perfectly. He would be an ideal fit. High line, keeping possession in opponents half, having him with that quick recovery and covering the back would be such a beauty. We become counter attack resistant!
We have the best set of left-backs in the world in Nathan and Josko :). More likely, I think we could get Jarrad Branthwaite, considering his rumours, the health status of Johnny Stones, the fact he can only give us so many games a season, and the new rumour of moving Akanji to RB full-time.The bleedin obvs, Philips and Gomez are goners. "Dicky" Walker is on the wane and may want to go. "Bernardo to Barca" is like a media virus, how can that happen when they couldn't afford Cancelo ? Ortega has itchy feet. Tommy Doyle looks like he's gone for approx £5m ! absolutely astounding value compared to Nunes. There are approx 15 out on loan, but I can't think of one that will nail down a squad place for us, even Jimmy Mac has struggled due to the woeful squad at SUFC. That lot should bring £100m in.
If we have £150m in the kitty we could go shopping with £250m.
We already have Savio and Echeverri. Our left back blind spot is ridiculous, maybe just maybe it will get fixed for around £50m. At right back Frimpong looks likely with a £35m release. That leaves £165m for 2 or 3 others, hopefully one or two out of Bruno, Paqueta, Musiala and the Turkish Sergio look alike with a name beyond my spelling. If Ortega goes bring back Jimmy Trafford and start a transition between him and Eddy that should take 2 or 3 years to complete.
I was think a hybrid role on the Right side, rather than the Left. We are stacked on the left.Think his best role is in one similar to Ake/Gvardiol as the outside CB/LB hybrid.
Stones being an injury magnet says otherwise. Ake is also become injury prone too. Maybe a possible departure of Walker? Not so sure we need him.
Hopefully Akanji as a starting right back next season is bs...need a real full back ,who can attack down the wingsWe have the best set of left-backs in the world in Nathan and Josko :). It will be what Pep wants and I'd be shocked if Pep goes to wingbacks.Hopefully Akanji as a starting right back next season is bs...need a real full back ,who can attack down the wings
