Not necessarily, with Pep it’s all in minor details and he makes several tweaks in game and after it. That’s speaking outside of the general playstyle. Another manager might appreciate profiles and be okay with what we have but the reality is they will have to start from scratch, even if it’s not Klopp and the philosophy is similar. It would more or less have to be an entirely new system for the team to fully be on the same wavelength as the new manager.I get that, but do you not think next manager would suit style of current play, obviously with the odd tweak, rather than starting from scratch with an entirely new system.
For instance would city ever employ Klopp
Don’t think so the whole point of a DOF , having every team from the youngest age group to the first team playing the same way is set so the players we buy for Pep are exactly the players we buy for the next manager. The manager after Pep will be chosen by his ability to play the same way with the same players,we won’t choose a manger then change players and targets to adapt to that manager. As was said years ago the holistic way.Not necessarily, with Pep it’s all in minor details and he makes several tweaks in game and after it. That’s speaking outside of the general playstyle. We’ve seen what likes of Potter Pochettino have tried to do at Chelsea by attempting a modern play style with expensive players/profiles but that’s where you see doesn’t always turn out great, especially when the club adds players to the squad that you have to work with, instead of you asking the club for specific personnel.
That is my main reason for believing Pep’s future has had a huge impact on this summer window. All the new signings are for key areas and affect the potential next core of our squad. If Pep stays better he rebuilds it how he sees it, else another manager brings his own ideas and personnel to see how it works best.
Unlike on hereI suppose the needy Chelsea fans who want the next shiny new toy enjoy the signings.
Could be, and we may or may not bring one in ,or it could equally be they think we are stronger than last season, which I think we are.,and Pep has ideas on how to use the squad better to rest Rodri. Not sure Peps future makes a difference one way or the other myself. My impression is sometimes in football things are exactly as they are.
The club doesn't know if Pep will be here next season. I think that is factoring into their thinking.
I can't see us bringing in anyone to help Rodri, so once again we have to hope he doesn't pick up an injury or long suspension.
I think we're going to go with Kovacic to help/rotate with him. Also Stones coming into midfield again, if he can stay fit for longer than two games.
We may bring in another squad player but I think the main business is now out goings for the likes of Phillips, etc.
I think Nunes will stay but will get limited playing time.
With not refreshing the team and given the little rest most of them have had, I think this will be amongst Peps toughest seasons yet.
After Cole Palmer it is not the worst policy. He's going to play more youth this season it seems..
