It's Quiet 32 - enter at own risk

Option to buy means really its a loan they send him back after the loan so could be West Ham Wolves spurs or even the scum.
In fact I think it's actually an obligation and not an option.

More I think about it, the more it makes sense. We could potentially be in a scenario next summer where we lose Silva, Gundogan and Fernandinho, as well as needing to replace Sane if he goes now. We could have a transfer ban. If Sane were to leave now, then getting Coutinho would provide immediate cover on the left side, plus long term cover for Silva and Gundogan in midfield.

Nahh we aint after him Barcelona will want 100m he aint worth that! Might be all bullshit and just Barcelona desperate for any interest in him.

They both play regularly for the best side in Europe & play regularly for top international sides. That’s pretty much the definition of World Class. They are in the very elite of World football.
Otamendi just 12 months ago was voted in the PL team of the season and featured for the same nomination in La Liga.

Don’t underestimate your own in favour of a shiny new toy. Both are far better than Maguire and he’s about to become the most expensive defender ever!!

I have never met anyone who uses that definition.

Laporte is NOT world class by your definition and yet 12 months ago Delph was?

We have 3 World class centre halves, all in their prime. We have 3 or 4 very viable back up options. Kompany can never be replaced, much like when YaYa left, you will see a tactical alteration not a player replacement.
Funnily enough, Pep has just said there will be movement in & out of the club before the window closes..... I think he probably doesn't see things as you do?

Pep's 2011-12 Season:

Starts for established CBs in all comps.

Puyol: 40
Pique: 32
Fontas: 5
Bartra: 1

Do you really rate Mascherano that much higher than Fernandinho?
This is the Premier League 8 years later. Back then Guardiola was battling against Real only. Athletico might have given Barca the odd hard game, but his situation in Spain can't be compared to the top 6 situation in the EPL.

Pep has just said to expect player movements, in & out before the window closes. I'd hazard a guess this means the FB & CB positions, so let's wait & see & we can revisit this in 7 days.

We don't need to revisit it. I have said I would be disappointed if brought in a CB and blocked the progress of one of our two youngsters. You have claimed it was necessity. I have shown that in the past Pep has gone into a season with 2 CBs and done quite well. The best you have is the old classic, "but the PL is different..." Whether we buy a CB in the next 7 days is irrelevant.

Did you break down which matches Puyol & Pique started in? We have 38 matches alone in the PL, let alone Europe & the domestic cups.

Every league is different, more so the blood & snot of the Premier League. We're fighting for titles & cups against some major opposition at home and abroad.

Just like ManUre in the late 90s, Barca of 2010-12 could afford to rest major players in the league ahead of big European nights such was their league dominance. The only time we've been able to do that is in the League Cup. It's horses for courses mate.

As it stands our youngsters aren't at the level to be No 3 & 4 in our squad.
