This place is feckin hilarious. Moan moan moan about not bringing in the players we need to take us to the next level. We court a lad who the world and his dog see something special and.... moan moan moan were buying potential and costs too much - make yer minds up lads and lasses
i have mate but you won't let me, nowt hilarious about that.

This conversation is clearly going nowhere, it's about the fee involved in harnessing the potential not the fact he has it. I'm not happy in displacing Sergio who is a proven potential with two kids in Jesus and mbappe, integrate them, but it won't happen, as we've seen a 25 mill talent came straight into the fray and pushed Sergio out of the team, there isn't a cat in hells chance we'd spend 150 mill and not expect Sergio to be further displaced.
Why didn't you say that at the start then?

Very clearly I did mate, most of last evening. It's been continued this morning and I'm still going over the same topic, it's only opinion but many on here feel we need a statement signing, many feel it's fine to sell our top striker and many feel we are buying a guarantee of a better player,
I don't, although it's only an opinion.

Fair enough, nobody knows what the future will be, but if the club and players decide this is the thing to do your going to have to live with it

Potentially if we bought Mbappe in we could play 3-5-2 the majority of the time with the odd-one-out as impact sub and keep all 3 happy. It would probably mean shelving the Sanchez deal though. Might explain why we are so light at the back.

Instead of focusing on potential, some of you need to realise that he is currently a top class player at eighteen. Him and his teammates just spent the season destroying some of the best teams in Europe.

It's not like we're talking about an Iheanacho, a Rashford or a Dolberg, this guy is already doing the business against all opposition.

The fee will be big because he is already a top player. The fee will be even bigger because there's a huge chance that he'll improve greatly.

To me the Sanchez deal looks more and more like its off the table (that could change at any moment obviously) so we would be a striker light for a full season. Why would we not go after Mbappe if he's available?
The money is a secondary issue over which the club decide if he's worth it or not.

He was waltzing through England's defence last month too, should have had a hat trick in that game.
