It's Quiet the £250m return

Nico Gonzalez news is fake news
Dumfries is fake news
Rodrygo is fake news

I dont think City will sign anyone in the coming days except Livranento if Newcastle loosen up and it looks unlikely. I think we will see Nunes and Khusanov in the right back position and maybe Stones if fit!

That feels like all bases covered. If Racing Santander offer us £100m for him, I suspect we'll take it: if the rags offer us £100 dependant on their roof repairs costing no more than £1.50, I suspect we won't. Don't think I'm going to call myself ITK though.

No one in the squad would be off limits in the event of a 'good proposal ', although the amount of the proposal would obviously change - see Alvarez. Similarly, only the really surplus to requirements will be leaving if it's not a good proposal.

There are going to be millions of rumours in the next month, I think some people are going to end up losing their heads on here. You're spot on with what you wrote - everyone just needs to chill and take everything with a pinch of salt.

Some players will go, it might be ones you expect, it might not be. We won't lose the absolute best players we have though.

You know what though, regardless of where the truth exactly lies on the Nico rumours, it’s still fucking barmy we could spend circa £50mil on a player in Jan that is not now necessarily wanted.

Only at City, lol.

It’s equally crazy we paid £50m for a player Pep is clearly not that enamoured with.

Love how City Xtra's BREAKING NEWS less than 1 hour apart completely contradict each other.

Maybe Viana called Pep and said it's 2025-26, not 2020-21.. you don't have prime Gundogan anymore that can play in the CL final and bench Rodri and Fernandinho!

So they reassessed things and Nico is now part of the plans!

Well If Romano is saying something it would be because an agent asked him so. He gets his inputs from his numerous agent contacts as everyone knows.

What I would be concerned is Why would his agent begin to stir a transfer 6 months into his City career. Is the lack of minutes in CWC forcing Nico hands to say something like this.
And obviously City would shut it down because they don't intend to sell him.

All it tells me that he is having some doubts about his future at City and it may/may not completely change as the season starts depending on his relation with Pep and playing time.

Let’s have it right though.

Gonzalez filled a gap but that aside, has been bang average. If we could get 50m and reinvest it there are many much more dynamic midfielders out there.

I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if we moved him on.
I can understand the thinking here.

Nothing against the lad and in an ideal world, he becomes a key part of the squad.

But, he's just not had any real opportunities to make an impression. For reasons known only to the coaching staff. So if we were offered our money back, or close to it, should we take it? We wouldn't miss an asset that hasn't really contributed much so far.
