Weird one, but if Carson is finally leaving a certain Angus Gunn is a free transfer this summer

He's only 29 so may want to play regularly but he'll get a pay bump, he's home-grown AND club trained for the CL spot and he's been a pretty reliable keeper for Norwich, he's clearly a better keeper than Carson is right now (although that's not why we've kept Carson)

Well I’m sure the club is further down the line then we know and Hugo seems to be taking no shit in his first full squad overhaul so he will want to know yes or no and a new goalkeeper needs to be in if either keeper is leaving

I read that Di Marzio article about our interest in Donnarumma, couldn’t be more passive.

His contract is up for renewal and he wants loads of money, if they don’t meet his demands then his team is aware of interest from other clubs, such as us.

Just won UCL and he’s one of the best keepers in the world, they’d give him the Mona Lisa if he asked for it. Wouldn’t read into it any more.

I know Khaldoon said they’re aiming to get everything done in the next couple of weeks but unless he has got have a dozen players lined up and their clubs on board I just can’t see it…never mind the problem of shifting half a dozen out too.

I’m sure it will be busy but surely not to the extent City want if only because they aren’t in complete control of all sides.

I don’t see 6 coming in. I see 3 (cherki, Rudolph and a full back)and maybe 4 if ederson leaves. That would be 7/8 players in two windows and is realistic. Talk of 6 is a bit unrealistic imo

I wouldn’t take that literally.

It just means some of the players of those listed might leave - not that all of them will leave.

We've got the main window for shifting players out, this mini window will, I think, mainly focus on incomings.

Got a real problem with jsut buying a player because they're home-grown and will cost £60mil or more

At least Livramento seems to be a top player in a position that is pretty weak across world football, but you've got players like Branthwaite, MGW, Eze, Wharton etc. Who granted are good but you can probably find a few players in each league of a similar quality and players of much better quality....and they'd cost half the price (Cherki vs MGG/Eze case in point)

I doubt we are buying him, or any player, JUST because they are homegrown.
