I see the Eddie comments as the same as last year. He wants Saudi as he has a huge deal on the table but we want a fair price and they aren’t willing to offer what we want. Also more keepers now entertaining the Saudi offer, Emi Martinez and Allison.

I’d rather Eddie stay than get any other keeper to be honest but sounds like we have Costa lined up if this changes.

Maybe the Garcia deal was as a potential Ortega replacement that could really challenge Eddie and replace him if needed as we knew Leverkusen were trying to get Ortega but as he’s decided to go to Barca/wants a 100% starting role we pulled out of that and now looks like no changes.

Never saw anything in the Garcia links tbh, got his hurry from Barca once our name was dropped.
 
Not sure why nobody is talking about this but I’m most excited for Pep Linjders

You can sign all the players you want but if you’re telling Cherki to play exactly like Bernardo Silva and you’re playing exactly the same way. You press the same. You approach low blocks the same way. Then it does matter.

Fresh new ideas and new players are a great combination

Is the correct answer and why the club chose to do just that - fingers crossed we can get those 3 tied up and playing at the CWC. Would be ideal

KDB, Walker, Grealish, Silva, Phillips, Doyle, Couto, Perrone, Simpson-Pusey, Delap (Sell On), McAtee, Mubama, Wilson-Esbrand, Mbete, Burns , Wright (obviously some already done)

as well as unlikely but possible Nunes, Gundo, Kova, Lewis etc depending who gets offers and shuffled in the squad numbers)

It can be frustrating sometimes but that's the strategy and they know what they're doing. Sane, Gundo and Jesus cost us about the same that Pogba cost, for example. And we got about what we paid for two of those players leaving + the trophies. Wirtz will do very well for Liverpool and I would have loved him here, but you can't say we are doing bad business.

Technically we've made best part of £50mil from Couto, Perrone & Wright already

McAtee, Doyle and Delap % fee probably nets us something similar, so already half way there

That's without thinking of any of our senior players like Grealish, Ake, Stones, Bernardo, Kovacic, Nunes, Ederson etc. leaving

If Eddy & Ortega are leaving it seems a no brainer to buy back Trafford from Burnley. Whether he'd comeback as the number 2 behind Costa, I'm not sure

If we pull it off its a bloody masterstroke. All 3 are massive upgrades as far as squad strength go and at least 2 would be starters from day one.

The part that sees and has seen players go to clubs less attractive , the part that wonders why he "doesn't fancy us one bit", the part that questions our negotiations and selling of the opportunity/club, and the part that sees still able and competitive playes go to Saudi. Players say a lot of things, but money talks.

Wirtz is the key. Sign him and I'm not at all bothered about the others you mention

We are rebuilding, one player doesn't solve our many problems and for balance I don't mind us being able to spread that cash to address a few areas.

Same. I think Ederson is mint and I don't think we'll get better on the open market (certainly not this summer at least). That said I'd rather not see him stay going into the last year of his deal. Recommit his future to the club, get fully fit and ready to go next season and we'd be laughing.
