That league is corrupted to its deepest core. Now I get why I have zero interest in Serie A.
The yearly sassuolo and Juve deals were weirdly enough. Considering they had to sell a star every year despite winning the league and making it far in CL you can tell how many problems they have.
Both Milan teams might get raided. What a time to be alive.

I like the players we are linked with but they are not big name marquee players or hugely expensive deals so I think it might be a very good window that goes under the media radar. So far City have been very active but the transfer stories that are dominating attention relate to Liverpool and Man Utd.

If we get Reijndeers, Ait Nouri and Cherki all done for circa £130mil it’ll be a hugely impressive start to the window and puts us in a great position ahead of boxing off outgoings and then hopefully sorting a right back and another midfielder.

I was worried about what our recruitment would look like this summer but these three already have me buzzing for the new season.

Even if any of these three fall through, we're going for the right names and we aren't fucking about.

so if the 70m euros quoted is correct that will be about 58m assuming a usual exchange rate, we will probably get a better one so more around the 57m mark, some of that will be bonuses so around the 50m mark, 45m on ait-nouri and @Damien10 says around 40m euros for cherki, around 120m - 130m pounds for those three is great business
 
Keep an eye on Rodrygo. It's going the Madrid way in the press. First he stays and now he wants talks with Xabi. Exact same way players have left before Ozil, Robben etc

I think so too although I am not sure we need another midfielder. A right back remains an issue and I am also wary about the fitness of Stones which makes the central defence uncertain. Khusanov and Ries might develop but only if they play.

I really hope khusanov gets a shot this year but i think he will be fourth choice behind gvardiol, dias and akanji
 
When Khaldoon was asked which player he was most excited about for next season who do you think he meant when he said “wait and see”?

Xabi Alonso? If we were to get Ait Nouri, Reijnders and Cherki and one of Reijnders or Cherki settled in, then we'd be back in business. We should be very careful to only bring in players who are potentially world class or we cap our potential. PSG were able to sign Kvaratskhelia in January presumably because they had the space and finance available. You might consider Rodrygo as a potentially world class player but I am not sure. Is he up there with Doue or Yamine Lamal. We will need 1-2 players to reach that level to win the CL again.
 


As of today, Rodrygo is more out than in Real Madrid. The club isn't offering him what he's asking for: a guaranteed starting spot and plenty of playing time. In England (MCity), they are.

The conversation with Xabi Alonso is still needed to clarify this soap opera.
 
So where is rodrygo supposed to play with Marmoush here? They are too similar. We might open up a case like Real Madrid having several players who are similar but have to play since they cost too much.
Never thought I’d say that but I rather hope for savinho and Doku to fulfill their potential than to go for an overrated rodrygo who struggles to score 15 in all comps - while expecting absolute baller wages.
