It's Quiet the £250m return

Yeah I can agree with that mate, I hope we don’t hang around too long and nail the RB position asap. Livramento will from the Geordies be £100m plus so I can’t see him coming unfortunately but so far the transfer business has been excellent!
Like i say if HG isnt an issue i can see us making a play for martim fernandes which would be a much better deal for us

Looked good in that video put in here yesterday and only 20 I think? Ready to start in the premier league though?

So it could be an end of window deal? Probably the same with Livramento if there is a small chance of it happening?
Personally I think we get those 3 that are nearly done plus a right back but not Livramento, someone from out of the blue from Viana, but probably in the second window

you have to give these kids a chance, ait nouri is only 23, gvardiol 24. o'reilly was 19 etc, we all complained about our aging team so lets give youth a chance and even at 20 hes played at porto and will be surrounded by players with a ton of pl experience

Khusanov, Reis, Marmoush, Echeverri, McFarlane, Bah, Gonzalez, Reijnders, Ait-Nouri and Cherki. That's a lot of business in 6 months and I wouldn't be surprised if that is the end of the incomings. I'd expect a similar number to now be on their way.
It's a lot of signings but I hope assuming the latest three come in that we will still get a right back

20 I think mate. Depends on his talent I guess? The old adage if you are good enough you are old enough?

I still don't believe that a full back should cost much money. Pep has used so many midfielders in full back areas and the majority have done a decent job. They've had their weaknesses but I don't think there are many proper full backs out there that don't have an issue at one end of the pitch.

It's not a position we should be spending a fortune on in my opinion. We would be better off signing the Porto lad and saving the cash for elsewhere. If we need a homegrown player then go for MGW not Livramento. He can always play at RB if he flops in the middle.

Depending on what Porto would want then Vanderson would be a better choice to go straight into the team possibly?

I’m relaxed about the full back position.

In all the time Pep’s been here we’ve rarely had traditional full backs. Walker is obviously the stand out and offered nothing in the final third but with his pace was excellent defensively. Delph, Zinchenko, Nunes, O’Reilly, Ake, Gvardiol, Akanji have all been used at full back and done a solid enough job that’s seen us be very successful and win a lot.

I’m sounding like a broken record but I don’t believe Pep’s going to change his principles. We’re not going to suddenly see City start playing more direct football, using overlapping full backs to put loads of crosses into the box or any change to his principles. This season was shocking. Our tactics were a means to an end. It was Pep finding a way to get results, nothing more.

With the right personnel we’ll see the basic principles again.

For me, we need someone fast who can replace Walker and sit as a third CB when we're in possession to cover counter attacks. Other than that Walker didn't do a huge amount to contribute to our game in possession. Do we need to spend a fortune on someone to do that job?

Fernandes, Gusto, El Hilali, Wesley, Ratiu & Livramento

are all names ive seen in the last two months for RB. Not sure where they pivot though.

What about Vanderson plays at Monaco. Ancelotti just called him up to the Brazilian squad. Could be a dark horse
Could be mate, I haven’t got a clue about any of these players but I reckon Viana will have players in mind. Given Pep wants to reduce the squad I only see a right back as likely on top of the 3, assuming both keepers stay

I think Viana sees it different though mate? Rather than a we’ll well make the best of it etc, he’s a well let’s get the right solution sorted than making someone play there type director of football? Nunes is not the answer at all! He improved but still makes stupid mistakes that lead to unnecessary chances for the opposition and as we seen against Bournemouth, goals! I’m sure I read Vanderson was €40m price tag?
