It's Quiet the £250m return

There's a lot of uncertainty floating around atm. Come October same will happen with Peps contract running down too. Effects everything from players departing to recruitment and players extending or not. Jump on riders . . .
Has no effect on recruitment and he has 2 years.

I swear posters on here are tripping.
They seem to be posting transfer rumours that nobody else has seen or read.
I mean crack on if it makes you happy but it looks like wums at work to me.
Posting transfer rumours nobody else has seen or read, then quoting them as fact.

"This Liverpool front three is amazing, we can't compete with that" - containing two players that don't play for Liverpool.

School holidays started already?

why would pep's contract be an issue next season

I'd honestly be happy for him to go out on loan where he'd play every week.
Why? He’s shown more then enough to be playing lots of games for us next season.

What message does that send as well? Play really well, take your chance in your first proper season and then get loaned out. May as well sell him.

Whilst at the same time keeping a bunch of players who consistently don’t perform.

He deserves to be starting games (maybe not every week) after being brilliant last season.

You say a palmer situation. It’s becoming an every young player we have situation. If this happened it would be really disappointing considering how good he is and how much potential he has.

Starting to think most of our academy lads see no pathway at all into our first team

The problem is that Bundesliga clubs will give them that game time. We as a club can say we will give you minutes or sub appearances.

But then Dortmund for example could give him a route into the first team and first team starts in his favoured position.

I don’t think he should be demanding to play every week, but we should be the ones giving him that opportunity and route to the first team. Otherwise do we only purchase ready made players?

We somehow give other young players not from our academy a chance. He’s one of the highest rated youngsters in the country, if we can’t give him a chance, I’d say there is something wrong, as he is good enough and he’s proven himself at 18.

It's simple really. He's not going to start ahead of Ait-Nouri, Pep would then probably put Gvardiol back at LB or Ake and he's almost certainly not going to start in midfield.

He's young, very young a year of full team action could be what he needs. What the point in keeping him and giving him a handful of games?

I like Nico and think he's been brilliant I would even say he changed our season around but unfortunately I just don't think Pep will play him enough.

Sounds like a Palmer situation. Wants first team minutes. Could see Bobb asking to go on loan as well to get first team minutes

There's absolutely no way Nico O'Reilly should be leaving this football club! He's shown numerous times that he should be starting alot of games, Like most players at City they all don't start week in week out, O'Reilly should be no different.

By the way the same applies to Oscar Bobb, another player who should be getting alot of games next season.

Rodri, O'Reilly and Reijnders as a midfield three is the way forward, Three big physical lads that boss a midfield and cover ground.

The club would need to take a long hard look at themselves if they let this lad leave.

Not having a pop, Just wondering why you'd be happy for this to happen?

Surely what we've all seen of Nico he's more than capable of playing in this City side and that includes playing out of his natural position.

Gundogan and Bernie will still be at the club next season and both will play more than O'Reilly that's the disappointing part.

@citytill1die84 sorry fella no need to reply as I've seen your above post.

he's done the hard part by breaking in the team and clearly having the trust of pep just feels very agent led this but i have been very wrong this week so probably wrong about this

Only if we can’t sell Gundogan and Kovacic, and if we can’t then maybe O’Reilly getting a full season somewhere would be good for him and us. I’m pretty sure the club are considering all options depending who we can move and who we can’t.
