Never watched him either,watched a video which isn't always the best way but his distribution does look very good. Of course doesn’t mean he has Edersons calmness under pressure and the ability toshrug off any mistakes, probably nobody has that.

I really liked Ederson's distribution and assists but maybe the time is just right, he was being targeted by players for injuries!!

Won’t happen because Trafford won’t be second choice but Ederson to Galatasaray, Ortega to Burnley and Trafford to us and Costa to us
We get two good goalies we get Ederson decent wages off the books two lots of transfer fees including one for a player we paid nothing for and also get a home grown second choice keeper
Trafford wants to be number 1. the moment we go for costa he will join Newcastle. Only way is him actually staying at Burnley and hoping ederson stays while Trafford has a good season to try again.
It’s either hoping that Trafford is good enough or putting an end to this saga by buying costa and whoever the potential new number 2 is.
Don't think he would wait a year. Think if he has an option of Newcastle, where he can push for no.1 he will take it.
Oh wait, we aren't allowed to discuss what grown men might choose to do with their lives.
Not a chance we get Trafford and Costa.
Recipe for disaster keeping those two happy.
Plus, Trafford is £40m and Costa £60m. Not a chance we spend £100m on GKs

Why on earth would Trafford come here as a second choice keeper?
We’d also being spending what 90m on two keepers. Not a chance that happens

The post quoted did say "wont happen" in the very first line to be fair and I'm not saying I believe the following to be likely to happen but why is everybody so adamant he wouldn't accept potentially being number 2 for a year or so to somebody not far off 10 years his senior?
Dippers signed a 24 year old Mamardashvili last season for £29m who was Valencias first choice and had a great Euros that would have generated a lot of interest in him. He isnt going there to be number 1 ahead of Alisson.
He's presumably, clearly been sold on the idea of playing backup for a year or 2 and then becoming number 1 in a few years so it's not beyond reason to think we could sell the same plan to a 22 year old boyhood fan who is first choice at a lesser club than valencia.
Again, not saying it's likely but theres proof of something more unlikely happening right now at the team we have to beat next season, so we shouldn't be so hasty in dismissing the idea outright.

does anyone think D. Costa can hit prime Ederson level tho? I am not convinced on him and Porto would rinse us on the price just like they did with Nico G who was supposedly fantastic for Porto too.
also dont think Trafford is on the level to make this huge jump to be number 1 at City just yet, his first Burnley season was shit but that was his first P season at a young age with a poor defence front of him and Kompany's rather naive tactics. Now they did well with huge number of clean sheets under Scott Parker and promoted but Championship level is far from PL, just look at how promoted sides struggle to stay up last few years, most of them straight back into Championship. I would say its even a bit of risk for Newcastle to go to him over to Pope as a number 1 with CL coming up for them. there is deffo potential in Trafford tho to have a nice career but world class keeper in the making?

Always rated Brice Samba personally. Think he's probably been the best goalkeeper in France for the last few seasons.
