Good, there you have it. Nothing else really matters. Messi is not coming.
For now cld be interpreted to mean I am waiting on city to bid and for Barca to accept. My part is over.
First step defuse the situation by declaring your love of Barca and how the club is been run into the ground by Bart.
Secondly, State that you will make way to allow younger players to develop and take the club forward.
Thirdly, Let the dust settle and the fans will understand allowing Leo to leave with their blessing and his legacy intact.
Fourthly, Barca get a decent fee and it’s a win win for all concerned.

Haven’t you realized yet the club doesn’t give a shit if Messi wants out or not, he had to stay at all cost. How fucked up as it sounds, Bartomeu and the club doesn’t care if he’s unhappy or not, they will insist there’s a release clause. That’s literally the only thing (for them) that matters. Thinking anything else is naive.
Messi tried and it didn’t work out. End of story as far as I’m concerned.

Fair point mate but do you really believe that they want to keep an unhappy icon? The damage this will cause to them will be felt for years.
I don’t and that is why this will end with his sale to us. Messi or not an unhappy player will get to move.
If they keep him and things turn from bad to worse next season. The backlash from the fans when he has a bad game or they don’t start the season well will be severe.
The distraction will turn into a circus then he drops the bomb that he has signed for us in January.
Barcelona cannot take the risk. The only way they save face is to put up a fuss then get a fee. Reluctantly sell.

Barca already embarrassed themselves in front of the whole footballing world by not letting go of their star who clearly wanted out. I really believe they are more keen to keep hold of Messi than anything else, including ruining their reputation. That’s how bad this club is being runned. I believe they’re aiming to keep Messi as happy as they can until their presidential election next spring, and then try to tie him down to a few more years. I strongly doubt we’ll ever see Messi in a City-shirt, unfortunately.

I don't think city played plan A with Lyon.
He didn't believe in his team, which will have had a knock on effect on them too imo.
