However I didn't see the extent to which selling clubs would chance losing a buyer to get the best possible price.

My conclusion is that the last week will be crazy and that's when we will do our business. Until then it's whoever blinks first and not many, Valencia aside, have. From a monetary point of view we can afford to wait and rightly or wrongly that is what I think we are doing.

We can't judge till 16 days time.

Purely a guess but I get the feeling there will still be a couple of huge signings and we are going to like them.

A lot of selling clubs giving the impression they are hard nosed. But a few will likely change their minds as the transfer windows close as they have some big holes to fill due to the pandemic.

It's possible with a further few months of behind closed door games, some clubs will be teetering. I can therefore understand buying clubs biding their time.
