Tebas has remained surprisingly quiet so far. However, I don't think we will have to wait too long before he spews his bile.
The guy is seriously unhinged and the thought of losing Messi will be tearing him apart.
Fifa don’t decide that - they just administer the paperwork in an administrative role as far as I know.I think the fact that things are starting to move is showing promise.
My concern is with it going to FIFA, they could order us to pay a fee which is wholly unrealistic. In my eyes, they need to state whether the Messi can leave now on a free or not.

Why? This is a legal matter, either Messi leaves on a free based on the legality of the clause, and we give them fuck all, OR the law rules against Messi and we either THEN agree a deal with Barca, or if we can’t then let them pay Messi for a season and we get him for a free in a years time. I don’t see any middle ground, as that relies on a compromise with a **** like Bartomeu, which isn’t realistic. At this stage this is for Messi, Barce and their lawyers to resolve
Messi's legal team are lodging papers with FIFA today. They want their man on a plane to Manchester by Friday.
It’s absolute nonsense, Barca are thrashing around like a drowning manIn that case he might as well stay and take their money then go on a free next summer, have they total idiots runing barca,he would stink the place out for twelve months
Still pinching myself at the mere thought that Messi could be in a City shirt. Crazy days.Pretty much this. It seems Barcelona hope to get 100s of millions based on purely our relyctance to wait and our fear of an uncertainty they have created with nothing but some bravado.
And perhaps the argument that Juve paid 100m for Ronaldo. But he had 3 years meft on his contract, was a couple years younger, and wasn't fed up of r.madrid.
Crushed? Ffs.As much as I'd quite like to see Messi at City from a PR oint of view (as would the Premier League), I can't help the feeling that I'll be crushed if we do sign him but no centre-half and left-back (and perhaps midfielder).
Yeah, crushed, that's what we'll be. Crushed. As much as I'd quite like to see Messi at City from a PR oint of view (as would the Premier League), I can't help the feeling that I'll be crushed if we do sign him but no centre-half and left-back (and perhaps midfielder).
Those were my initial thoughts but it has been stated on here many times that Messi would come from a separate contingency budget and wouldn’t affect our other businessAs much as I'd quite like to see Messi at City from a PR oint of view (as would the Premier League), I can't help the feeling that I'll be crushed if we do sign him but no centre-half and left-back (and perhaps midfielder).
Im sure you would get over it, drama queens normally have a spat and then recoverAs much as I'd quite like to see Messi at City from a PR oint of view (as would the Premier League), I can't help the feeling that I'll be crushed if we do sign him but no centre-half and left-back (and perhaps midfielder).
