No the transfer is about the CFG and not just us.

He gets a 5 year contract with a percentage in the CFG on completion.

He signs for MCFC for 2 years , then goes to NYCFC and the MLS for 3 years.

There is some debate on the length of time with each club ie maybe 3 years with us , then 2 years NYCFC

Jorge Messi needs to bring this to closure one way or the other.

If they cannot get to a solution with Bartomeu, City needs to raise the pressure of setting a deadline of 12th September, start of PL, to make both sides act quickly. If Messi really wants to leave they will act, if Barca really wants to cash in they will act, otherwise he will stay, wont train, and that is gonna cost lot of money to everyone except City. We come back in January too see what changed.
